Meet Our Founder

Dr. Naomi Jean-Baptiste is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and frontline provider.

She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Duke University and obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She then moved to New York City where she completed a residency program in Emergency Medicine at NewYork Presbyterian.

She is a mother and a wife in addition to being a healthcare provider. She have been working in the frontlines of Emergency Medicine for over 10 years.

From her near-death experience as a patient, to her leadership experiences as the director of an emergency department and later chair of a physician experience committee, Dr. JB has a well-rounded view of the healthcare system. The sobering revelation of how the healthcare system could cause harm to both patients and healthcare professionals set off a burning desire in her to change the system from the inside out.
THE WHY BEHIND OUR COMPANY

Why Hope4Med?

Healthcare workers can sometimes become so absorbed with their profession that it becomes the core of the their universe. The downside to this is that when something negative happens to that core the effects can be devastating.

To have triumphs and tribulations is human, and healthcare workers are human. Outside of the work environment, they are also sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, fathers, mothers, and friends.

The goal of this company is to provide a convenient, private, and confidential outlet that passes no judgment and helps guide the healthcare worker through times of struggle. Knowing they never have to feel lonely again will hopefully prevent healthcare workers from getting to a point of desperation where irreversible decisions are made, and we are all left to deal with the consequences.
